Alright, so I spent a chunk of time today trying to track down those Frostbugs in Wuthering Waves. Heard they were needed for some upgrades, so figured I’d go grab a bunch.

First off, I just kinda started wandering around. You know how it is. Didn’t really have a specific plan. The name “Frostbug” made me think, okay, probably somewhere cold, right? Makes sense. So I headed towards the areas that look kinda chilly on the map. That big snowy mountain place, forgot its name, seemed like a good bet.
Where I Started Looking
I spent a good while up there, near the summit and around the icy cliffs. Ran into plenty of other critters, got into a few scraps, but honestly, not a single Frostbug. Bit frustrating. I was looking high and low, checking behind rocks, near those frozen patches. Nothing.
Then I thought, maybe “frost” doesn’t strictly mean ice ice. Maybe just damp, cool areas? So I changed tactics. Headed down towards some valleys and areas near rivers, especially those spots that look perpetually misty or shaded.
Finding the Little Guys
Okay, this worked out better. I started finding them clinging to walls and rocks, usually in shaded spots or near small bodies of water. They’re not super obvious at first glance, kinda blend in sometimes.
Here’s where I had the most luck:
- Around the edges of that foggy forest area. You know, the one with the tall, weird trees. They seemed to like hanging out on the tree trunks and damp rocks there.
- Near waterfalls and riverbanks in the more temperate zones, but specifically in the shadows or under overhangs. Seems they don’t like direct sunlight much.
- I even found a few inside caves, clinging to the damp walls. Not deep inside, usually near the entrance where it’s still cool and moist.
They’re small, kinda blue-ish white bugs. Once you spot one, you start noticing them more easily. You just gotta walk up close and grab ’em. Pretty simple collection once you find a patch.
So yeah, my advice? Don’t just stick to the super icy zones. Check out damp, shaded places, especially near water or in foggy areas. Took me a bit of trial and error, running all over the place, but eventually, I got a decent haul. Just keep your eyes peeled, they’re out there.
